A new study shows that as simple as climbing up 200 stairs, a few times a day, can help lower blood

escalators and take the staircase. You'll be stunned at how refreshing and rewarding it will be when you

72. Invest time in improving important relationships

74. Wear high quality comfortable shoes.

Good shoes take you good places. Comfortable shoes take you to even better places! A pair may look like
Gucci but if it hurts your feet, it's not going to be worth the pain. Why? Because it puts your health at risk!
Uncomfortable shoes affect the way you walk and can even develop a limp. It puts unnecessary pressure
on your ankles, knees, thighs, hips and back. Comfort should be a top priority when it comes to footwear.
Happy feet lead to a happy mind and body. If the shoe fits, don't wear it unless it is comfortable!

75. Eat until your 80% full

If you haven't heard of 'Hara Hachi Bu', you're missing out! Roughly translating to "eat until you're 80%
full, the phrase originated from Okinawa, Japan where life expectancy is one of the highest in the world.
Of course, there’s no way of knowing how full you really are but consider 80% as your guide. Our brains
are 10-20 minutes behind our stomachs. When you think you’re 80% full, you’re actually full while when
you eat up to 100% full, you're packing yourself more calories than what's needed. So, if you want to live
longer and healthier like the Okinawans, let 'Hara Hachi Bu' be your new motto!
76. Cook meals with curry powder

Curry powder has tons of remarkable health benefits that shouldn't be overlooked. It's key component,
Turmeric, which contains an organic component called curcumin, is credited for helping prevent
Alzheimer's and cancer as well as relieve pain and inflammation.

77. Take a 15-30-minute nap

No to burnouts! No matter how busy your day gets, never overexert yourself. The moment you feel like
you've had enough, take a quick 15-30 minutes to get some zzzs. Naps can give you that extra boost you

83. Sometimes, you need to say no for the sake of your health

year just to make sure your teeth get the proper treatment it deserves.

86. Don’t sleep right after having a meal.

You're not doing your body a favor when you sleep right after a heavy meal. It can lead to potential
problems such as acid reflux, burning sensation in the chest and, in the worst case, stroke. The best thing
to do is to wait at least two hours after eating before dozing off. In the two-hour wait time, it's best to be
standing up to allow your digestive system to do its work efficiently. This way, you'll be able to have a
sound sleep later without risking your health.

87. Don’t sleep when you’re emotionally upset

Remember how relationship gurus tell you that you are not supposed to go to sleep upset? That if you
wrap the day up being upset with your lover, those emotions can haunt you the next day or even in your
sleep? It turns out science is recommending it, too! From the Journal of Neuroscience, a study of more
than 100 men and women that went to sleep with negative emotions says they had unsettling experiences
and even had trouble sleeping. Good news is you can deal with being upset by talking it out with people
you trust. That way, you can have yourself a good night's sleep.

88. Begin a garden

Nature is indeed the best medicine. There is no doubt about its healing abilities. It takes your stress away,
clears your mind and brings you peace and joy. Wouldn't it be great to take that experience to your own
backyard? Starting a garden may seem like a lot of work but one thing's for sure, it's going to be good for
your health. With its physical demands that can strengthen your body and the healing properties of plants
that you choose to grow in it, gardening doesn't sound bad at all!

89. Build your self-confidence

Self-confidence is an asset that can lead you to your success. It is never a shallow trait. A greater sense of
self-worth means more happiness and enjoyment in life. It also means that your mental health is doing
great: free from depression, anxiety and self-doubts. A healthy mind means you will be more motivated

90. Don’t overspend your money

unintellectual manner of spending before saving should be put to a stop. The best way to save is to take
out 20% of your income first and place it in the bank and then, use the remaining 80% on buying things
you actually need. Efficient, right?

91. Volunteer for a good cause

Cheryl Strayed once said, “Compassion is about giving all the love that you’ve got." Volunteering for a
cause is one of the many ways you can do to show your compassion. It is a great way of reaching out and
connecting with other people. Also, it offers a unique experience that will allow you to open your mind,
expand your horizons and celebrate different cultures. Volunteering for a cause does not offer anything
tangible in return but knowing that you are making the world a better place should be more than enough
to make you keep doing it.

92. Do some strength training twice a week

Strength training brings in tons of benefits for all health aspects. It increases muscle strength, power,
endurance and size and strong muscles are less likely to be injured. With the results of strength training,
the performance of everyday tasks such as lifting, carrying and taking the stairs will be a breeze since
muscles are conditioned to be firmer and better-defined. Your mind will be conditioned as well! There will
be an improvement in cognitive thinking which helps ward off dementia. Good news is, you don't have
to do it every day! Twice a week is more than enough.

93. Eat one or two fish meals a week

Say yes to fish twice a week for a healthy heart. The Omega-3 fatty acids found in fish help cut down the
risk of heart failure, coronary heart disease, stroke and cardiac arrest. It also reduces irregular heartbeats,
blood clotting and blood pressure. Omega -3 is also found useful in taking care of the mind. The Journal
of the American Medical Association (JAMA) found that eating fish as part of a regular diet reduced the
risk of Alzheimer’s disease by 47%. Wild salmon, tuna, milkfish, mackerel- you'll never run out of options!

94. Find your passion and purpose in life

Passion and purpose are two different things but go hand in hand. Passion is what you want to do
naturally, not what sounds good or what others want you to do. It is what leads you to your purpose which
is defined as the reason why you do something. Finding and aligning your passion and purpose is a
rewarding experience that each one of us should pursue. However, in this world powered by money, it is
no easy task. All of us met with discouragement and challenges but these should not stop us from doing
what we really love and what we are destined to do.

96. Don’t solve your emotional problems by eating more


We don't always eat because we're hungry. A lot of us turn to food when we are stressed or being
consumed by unpleasant emotions of sadness or boredom. This is what we often refer to as stress eating
or emotional eating and it does no good to our health. Stress eating resembles an addiction problem that
must immediately be addressed to prevent it from doing further harm. Practice self-discipline by keeping
clear of the triggers. Or you can have someone help you talk out the things that bother you instead of
resorting to food.

Garlic is more than just a spice for cooking. It's a widely used medicinal remedy! A garlic does wonders to

98. Cut back on salt

Salt can make your food taste good but too much can trigger hypertension which can lead to stroke and
other heart diseases. Although it is impossible to avoid salt, it's best to educate ourselves on how to
minimize sodium intake by keeping an eye on the contents of the food we eat. Processed and canned food
are just some of the many that exhibit high salt levels since sodium is commonly used as its preservatives.

99. Avoid negative people

Negative people can affect you in every way, so it pays to avoid them at all cost. They suck out your energy
by giving discouraging remarks that crushes your spirits. Also, they are big mood killers that never see the
bright side of things. If you want a happy life, surround yourself with the right people that will lead you to
your success.

100. Herbs, herbs, herbs

Herbs are what enhances the taste and smell of your food. They are packed with antiseptic, antibacterial
and antioxidants, which are important for developing children as well as for adults. Other health benefits
herbs offer include alleviating body aches and pain, treating cough and cold, regulate bowel movement
and strengthen the immune system.

60. Ride a bike for fun or cycle to work a few times a week.

Instead of sitting in traffic trying to navigate your way through a congested city or ride a crowded public
transport, cycle your way to work instead! Numerous studies have shown that daily exercise can
significantly reduce stress, ease the symptoms of depression, improve sleep patterns, and reduce anxiety.
In addition, exercising outdoors whether rural or urban has been proven to boost self-confidence and
