REPORT SUMMARY
I. OBJECTIVES OF THE ACTIVITY:

1. Re-orient the BADACs on their roles, responsibilities and functions

2. Enhance BADACs technical knowledge and skills
3. Provide venue to discuss issues and concerns to BADAC Members

II. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ACTIVITY:

Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, provides guidelines to safeguard
the citizenry from the harmful effects of dangerous drugs and to defend the same against acts or omissions
detrimental to their development and preservation, through the pursuit of an intensive and unrelenting
campaign against the trafficking and use of dangerous drugs and other similar substances.

As provided in the PADS, the Department is tasked, among others, to enjoin all LGUs to revitalize and
strengthen their respective Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (ADACs) and ensure its functionality,
and effectiveness.

Further, the BADAC results for AY 2019 and 2020 provided a baseline data for the capacity development
intervention program for the BADACs guided by integrated approaches employed by the national government
in its campaign against illegal drugs to enhance the skills and knowledge of BADAC members in the
performance of their duties and responsibilities as mandated by various laws and recently-issued national
policies.

III. OUTPUT/S OF THE ACTIVITY:

 All target BADACs were re-oriented on their roles, responsibilities and functions
 All target BADACs were provided with capdev intervention to update thier respective technical
knowledge and skills.
