ON HOW THE GRADE 12 STEM

STUDENTS GIVE UP ON THEIR
DREAMS

SUBMITTED TO: MRS. RHEA MAE M. ENATE
INTRODUCTION
•Confidence in students is vital for his or her success. The
amount of self- confidence a child possesses will affect his or
her educational goals. If a child loses confidence in school, his
or her grades will ultimately be affected. According to brown
(2000: 145), self confidence is probably the most pervasive
aspect of any human behaviour. It could easily be claimed that
no successful cognitive or affective activity can be carried out
without some degree of self-confidence , self- confidence
knowledge of yourself, and belief in your own capabilities for
activity (coopersmith 1967: in brown, 2000: 145)
THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK
• Confidence can be obtained from person’s physiological state
or condition. Eden (1990) also suggests that the stress one
experiences in work can influence confidence judgements
about one’s coping capacity for the job. Bandura (1986) also
notes that the physiological sources of sel-confidence
judgement are not limited to autonomic arousal. People use
their levels of fitness, fatigue, and pain in strength and
endurance activities as indicators of their physical inefficacy
( Feltz and Riessinger, 1990; Taylor et al., 1985)
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
•This study aims to explore how Grade 12 STEM
student give up on their dreams. Although self-
confidence enhances a student’s motivation in learning
process and its impact is explained thereof. There are
various challenges exists for students with lower self-
confidence.
METHODOLOGY
Research design
• The researchers will use a descriptive type of research in conducting the study.

Respondent of the study

•The respondent of this study will be mainly bona fide Grade 12 STEM students of Isulan
National High School.

Locale of the study

•Isulan National High School
Instrumental and Data Collection
• The survey questionnaire will be given to online to this respondents.

Data Analysis
• The data sought will be analysed and interpreted.

Sampling Technique
• The sampling technique that has been using this research is the random sampling
method.
