Introduction
The MET is an examination for test takers who want to evaluate
their general English language proficiency in social, educational,
and workplace contexts.

The Reading passages and listening clips on the test are designed
to reflect everyday interactions in an American English speaking
environment.

It is a multi-level test, so it is designed to be taken by English


learners at high beginer to advanced levels.

In this class, you will learn about how specific skills areas assessed
on the MET. After discussing specific skills, we will also consider
some ways of practicing these skills in a language classroom.
