Nikola Tesla

• Nikola Tesla was born in

the village of Smiljan July
10, 1856.
• He attended high school
in Gospić, then in
Rakovec near Karlovac,
where it is graduated.
• To the Technical High
School he enrolled in
Graz in 1875.
In 1881 he worked in the
Central telegraph office in
Budapest, a then at the
Telephone Exchange, where he
is made a number of technical
improvements.

6 June 1884

1881

On June 6, 1884, he went to

the United States where he is
gained world fame and many
inventions. There they are
employed by Thomas Alva
Edison.
Inventions • Three-phase motor
• Induction motor
• Wireless telegraphy
• Arc generator
• Smolder
• Wireless signals
• Tesla's transformer
• Three-phase current is a system
of the three alternating
currents that are phase-shifted
from each other.
• The induction motor has a rotating part
on which electricity is transmitted
contactlessly by the action of a rotating
magnetic field which creates a system of
multiphase currents in the stator.
• Alternating electric current is electric the
current whose direction changes over time.

• The fuse is a tube filled with gas under low

pressure in which the discharge occurs
under the action of an electric field.
• Tesla's transformer is a transformer for high voltage and alternating current production high
frequency currents invented by Nikola Tesla 1891.
Interesting • He discovered very early on that he
visually remembers events down to
things from life the smallest detail.
• The images came to his mind so
strongly that sometimes he could not
reveal what the vision was and what
was really before his eyes.
