• Nikola Tesla was born in Serbian village
"SIMLIJAN" on 10th July 1856 in the priest family.

NIKOLA'S BROTHER
In the year 1863, when Nikola was 5 years old his
brother Dane Tesla died due to the horse riding accident.

• Nikola's father wanted him to become a priest but Nikola wanted to become an
engineering, so he moved to similijan.
• He went to Austria to study at the technical college of Graz.
• He used to work from 3am to 11pm because of which the professors thought that he
would die from exhaustion.
• He could perform calcus in his head and spoke 8 languages
• But was unable to finish school since he got addicted to
gambling.

After 7 years, in 1891 he became a naturalized
citizen. He soon came in contact with the

generators since he thought that they were wholly unsuited to the job.

competing technology.
•Since Edison had only dc patents he did not accept AC invention by Tesla
• Later Tesla thought of opening a new company
and since he didn’t have enough fund so he went
on digging works and earned 2dollars per day.

• George Westinghouse joined the battle, with Tesla’s advancements at his
disposal He believed in Tesla’s invention and stuck up a deal with his
patents.
