Norway was ruled for centuries by several kings who ruled only areas
restricted by territory. In the 10th century, King Harald Hårfagre is the one
who manages to
unify the country in the form of a single kingdom. For the next 400 years
Norwegian leaders
seize Iceland and Greenland and at the same time organize raids through
vast parts of
Europe. At this time Norway acquires the status of a great trading power.
Unfortunately
Short however, the country is hit by the plague at the end of the 14th century and
half of the population perishes. All
history then Norway enters into a union with Denmark that lasts until the
beginning of the
XIXth century. Then the union with Sweden followed, and it won its
independence only in 1905. Once
that was realized, the country gives up its traditional neutrality. The post-
war period stands out
through state reconstruction and the development of an effective social

The Royal Palace

• After checking-in, we have time to settle in the


rooms and have the breakfast.At 11.30 A.M, we
leave the hotel and take the subway, line five, and
go 5 stops to the Royal Palace.
• The Royal Palace in Oslo is the official residence of
the Norwegian monarch,Harald the 5th of
Norway. It has a neoclassical style, 173 rooms,
and a park with a fountain, statues, and a lake.
Visitors can witness the Changing of the Guard,

• After visiting the royal palace,we take
tram 13  ,4 stops to get to the Munch
museum at 2 P.M.

Vigeland Museum

The next day, we will have breakfast at 7.30, we will leave


the hotel and take tram 12 to reach the vigeland
museum.

Vigeland Park
• After leaving the museum, we will walk
through the Vigeland park, which is right next
to the museum. This is the biggest park in Oslo
and we can do many activities in it, like playing
tennis, painting,swimming and many others.
• The park also features over 200 bronze,
granite, and cast iron sculptures by Vigeland,
including his most famous works such as "The
Angry Boy," "The Monolith," and "The Wheel
of Life." The sculptures are arranged in various
themes throughout the park, including the
famous "Frogner Park Fountain."
Free time in Oslo

• At 2 P.M,after leaving the park,we will have


finished with all our planned tourist
attractions in Oslo,so,I recommend that for
the rest of the day,we walk around the
City Center. There are many terraces there,
where we can have lunch, and also in
the center,there is the biggest mall in the
whole Norway,called ''Byporten Shopping c
enter''.
• At 8 o'clock we will return to the hotel to
prepare our luggage for the trip to the next
city in Norway
Oslo-Arendal
• On the 3rd of April,we will be having the breakfast at 7 A.M and at 8
A.M, we vacate the room.After leaving the hotel, we take the subway
for 6 stops to get to the station, and at the station we will take a train
to Arendal at 9 A.M.
Arendal
• Arendal is a city in Agder County, Norway.
The city is the administrative center of the
municipality of Arendal and the seat of
the governor of Agder county. The city
also includes a small area in the
neighboring municipality of Grimstad.
• For many people, Arendal seems like a
simple town, but not many people know
that the kingdom of Arendelle, from
Frozen, was inspired by Arendal in
Norway.

The Trinity Church
• After checking-in, we have time to settle in the rooms and have
the breakfast.After that, at 2 P.M, we will leave the hotel and
walk about 100 meters to visit The Trinity Church.
• The Trinity Church in Arendal is a church located in the center of
the town of Arendal, in the southern part of Norway. The church
was built in the Gothic Revival style and was completed in 1883.
It is a significant landmark of the town and is known for its
impressive architecture.
• The Trinity Church was designed by the Norwegian architect Carl
Julius Bergstrøm. The church has a nave, two transepts, and a
choir. It also has a tower that rises to a height of 56 meters (183
feet). The tower contains a clock and a bell that weighs 1,100
kilograms (2,425 pounds). The church has a seating capacity of
around 1,000 people.
• A less known thing to the world is that the place where Elsa from
Frozen was crowned was inspired by the interior of this church.
The Aust-Agder
Museum
• At 3 P.M we will go to The Aust-Agder Museum by
bus 101. The museum is housed in several
historic buildings in the center of Arendal,
including the former customs house and a
historic merchant's house. The museum's
collections include artifacts related to the
region's maritime history, traditional crafts,
agriculture, and everyday life.
• One of the highlights of the museum is the
exhibit on the history of shipping and
shipbuilding in the Aust-Agder region. The exhibit
includes models of ships, tools used by
shipbuilders, and displays on the life of sailors
and fishermen.
The
Radhuset Town Hall 
• On the 4th of April,after the breakfast,we will
visit the Radhuset Town Hall at 9 A.M.
• The Radhuset was built in the early 1900s, and its
architecture is inspired by the Art Nouveau style.
The building features intricate detailing and
decorative elements, including stained glass
windows and ornate carvings.
• Inside, the Radhuset houses the offices of the
town's mayor, council members, and
administrative staff. The building also features
several meeting rooms and conference spaces
that are used for official government meetings
and other events.

Dyrenparken Adventure Park
• At 10 A.M we will go to
the Dyrenparken Adventure Park
• Dyreparken Adventure Park is an
amusement park in Arendal, Norway that
features a zoo with over 100 animal
species, over 30 amusement rides, and a
dedicated area for younger visitors based
on a popular children's show. The park
also has restaurants, cafes, and souvenir
shops and is a great destination for
families and anyone looking for a fun day
out in Norway.
Glassheisen til FLØYHEI
• At 6.30 P.M,we can go to the top of
''Glassheisen til FLØYHEI''( the tallest
building in Arendal),where we can see the
spectacular panorama of the city.
• After that, we will go back to the hotel to
pack our bags and prepare for the next
city in Norway.
