My Educational

Philosophy
Formulated By:
Ms. Mary Grace M. Ahamad
“I believe that students mind is wide as a deep ocean or too broad as the
universe”

 every students were engrave uniqueness, and as an educator it is our job to

help them unlocked or discover this uniqueness or hidden potential that they
possessed.

“A true teacher does not terrorize ignorant students because a true

teacher knows that it his job to cure ignorance”.
- Miriam Defensor Santiago

My job is impart knowledge that i have to the future ones that lack with information, as
future educator freedom like asking question is very much appreciated, asking means it
draws their interest and I must not corrupt them by invalidating their thoughts or ideas.
“I believe that when students questions means they are thinking critically”

 we think before we ask and there is nothing wrong about asking about something,
students asked because they wonder, they have something wanted to know, and it
is my job to cater uniqueness through their questions.

“I also believe in waking up the interest of the students”

 it is the job of educator to drawn out the interst or wake up the interst of the
student, cause the more students is interested with the subject, the more they
wanted to learn on that subject.
“I really believe It really makes difference when students start to wonder and it
was catered by someone who is more expert on that matter”
 the mastery of the educator in his/her specialization can really address or cater
the students interest on specific matter whenever it ask question.
WITH THAT
PHILOSOPHY
How will you treat your student

I will treat my students with a freedom to share their knowledge/ideas or even experiences in class. i wont
invalidate their thoughts, serve them with fairness. treating them well and professionally cause i do believe
that my job as a teacher is to produce the future professionals who are not bias and know how to critic things
Whatoutwill you
teach?
I’ll engage them with basic knowledge first in history, slowly train their mind on how to critic basic issues and
slowly engaging them into diffcult one that could enhance their mind in seeing things on different perspective but
also most important is for them to know how history can be a guide ipresent and can predict our future through
patterns itself.
How will you teach?

In putting this in actions, present issues and related instructional materials can be use such as newly published works etc.
with the help of different teaching strategies. as much as i want to get rid of ignorance in terms of history, i must be first
one to be a role model, a role model that caters questions and not terrorize students
From which philosophies that you have studied and
researched did you draw inspiration as you formulated
your own philosophy of education?

I was able to formulate this type of philosophy due to the past lessons that i encounter,
different philosphers with differnt timeline and their points is in different perspective, i
got some of good point with their philosphies and amnalyze it according to what my
principle in life. philosphers such as those who belongs on classical and mdeival times
were so focus with humanities and academics which caught my attention.. we must see
that education is not only about knowledge but also on how we balance humanity in us
despite being to rational.
Does this education philosophy of yours makes
difference in your life?
what if you do not have formulated philosophy of
education at all?

YES, in a sense that this philosphy serve as one of my purpose why i am still here in
the world, i dont want to teach but my feet leads me to this path of teaching. this
philosphy gave me the idea that there is a lot of misconception especially in history,
there were a many students out there easy swayed with words without critically
questions the informations give to them, and that reason itself i must step up in
teaching to get rid of being ignorant of some students or younger ones in history.
It really makes difference when we start to wonder and it was catered by someone
who is more expert on that matter, it draws our interest to dive more or know more
about it. I already experience that someone perspective change the way how they
see the present because i impart some knowledge to them and i like the way how i
can contribute to them just by a mere of knowledge I have in me. it would another
way around if i have not formulated my philosphy of education, means i teach but
i dont know what my really purpose why i am teaching and why I am in thing
profession.
Is your educational philosophy more of an
abstract theory than a blueprint for a daily
living?
“study cause only education is the the type of treasure that no one can steal from you”
this quote is quite realisitic and i want my students not only to have knowledge but
appreciate that education they have because it is the only thing that no one can ever steal
from you. my philosophy is both abstract where you need to dive deep to know what my
words really meant but this philosophy also is a blueprint of my daily living in a sense that
this reminds me that my purpose is to teach, i cannot rewrite the past but i could educate
students about the patterns of mistakes we have in the past and that reason is already a
blueprint for a daily living.
Do you think your philosophy will change as you
grow in knowledge?

For me my philosphy is my guide, reminds me on what my

purpose is but chnage is inevitable, I’ll stick with my philosophy
but there maybe a bit of changes in strategies, as we know change
is inevitable. The waking up their interest is also unlocking their
hidden potentials but of coursefreedom of tshaing their rhoughts
will remain cause thats what makes them unique, the way how
they think.
