INTRODUCTION
And it is a PNG’s only
internationally recognised wildlife
park that sets the benchmark in
PNG for tourism, animals welfare,
conservation, research and
community nature- based
education.
It host over 130,000 visitors
to the Park each year
Thus, this case study will further
elaborates the activities that tourist
involves which enables to expand
this awareness and sustainability
practices to the Nature Park and the
surroundings.
Some of the Tourism activities in
Papua New Guinea that leads to
the protections of the
conservation site are:

 Tour and sightseeing


 Research and studies of flora & fauna
 Awareness on global warming
 More tourist, more revenue
Benefits from tourists to the
Nature Park

country as foreign exchange

the local residents

the importance of the environment

Summary
From all data and findings shown,
the leading force behind that
encourages the idea of
sustainability in the management
of the environment especially in
Port Moresby Nature Park is
Tourism.
And these involves activities such as ,
sightseeing, touring, study purposes,
for leisure and recreations and paid
off with revenue to the Management
and the Government that flames
everyone in effective contributions
towards the conservation and
preservation of the local environment
and the livelihood.
It is believed that tourism activities are
at the forefront of this nature park,
therefore, every individual citizens
must be responsible to create a open
and welcoming atmosphere where both
international and domestic tourists can
have a place to visits and so they will
fuel to the practice of sustainability to
our natural environment and the
resources.
