About Hurdling

• Hurdling is a sport which is a kind of track event in track


and field sports . During the running process ,athletes
need to continuously cross 10 hurdles with equal spaces.
It became a formal sport in the 19th century , since 1896
it had become an event of Olympic Games.
About Hurdling(2)

• There has different event in hurdling. For examples ,


Men’s 110m,Men’s 400m and Women’s 110m. They
are all project with high requirements for speed and
skills.

For each sports activities , having a good physical fitness is


important . As hurdling, hip joint activity angle should be
trained frequently , stretching , extension, and displacement
exercises , maintain of high center of gravity of the body and
softness, coordination, flexibility ,strong sense of rhythm,
good response ,fast paced , good speed is those most important
qualities.

• Relaxation and Concentration
-during the game, muscles can be energetic, and the attention
should be focused on crossing those hurdles
• Concentrated on their own track and the next hurdle, not the
person in front or beside them, otherwise they may lose
precious time and lead to failure

• Encountering strong wind


-strong winds may affect the starting point of the stride.
In case, you can take small strides and pay more
attention
• Prevention of failure
-run to the end of the exhausted state, resulting in slow
hurdles and sprint weakness
