CARNAVAL ENSEANDA
Ensenada Carnival is a celebration that takes place every year in Baja California, Mexico. This
carnival is a tradition that has been celebrated for 100 years, being carried out since 1950.
During the 6 days of celebration, a large number of activities are carried out such as comparsas,
parades, musical shows and fireworks shows. In addition, the city has a space for mechanical
games so that everyone can come and enjoy the happiest season of the year.
The Ensenada carnival was registered for the first time in 1891. This first carnival was celebrated
in a very simple way, since the population still did not reach 1,000 inhabitants, so the party was
developed with the presence of musical bands and the congregation of the locals on the main
avenue to play with water and flour. The following years featured the same theme, including
parades and costume balls.
At the carnival they were dancing, others were enjoying themselves, the people they saw were
laughing at the happiness that carnival transmits, there has always been a queen and a king at
the carnival, the king was posing while the queen was showing off her beauty for the spectators.
What they do at the carnival, first they all go out for a walk together, then they start dancing, next
the people start to cheer up, after that they all start dancing together with the carnival people,
later the queen and the king of the carnival come out. They pose and greet all the people who are
seeing while they continue advancing, finally after a while they begin to leave little by little and at
the end they thank the people who attended.
