INTRODUCTION

• WHAT IS TECHNOLOGY?
• Technology is the application of scientific knowledge to the
practical aims of human life or, as it is sometimes phrased, to the
change and manipulation of the human environment.
• Life without technology is impossible to imagine. Technology helps
in the development of all sectors ( primary, secondary, tertiary)
• Smart phones, laptops, printers, trackers, are few examples of
technological advancements
TECHNOLOGICAL ENVIRONMENT
• Technological environment refers to the changes in the
output, production methods, use of equipment and quality
of the product. It includes force related to scientific
innovations and improvements in products as well as
production technology.
• For example, with recent improvements in technology and
computerization, marketing and selling of products is now
possible online leading to increase in sales and output of
many firms.
CONCEPT OF TECHNOLOGICAL ENVIRONMENT

Concept of Technological Environment are ;

•invention (discovery)
•innovation (first commercial application)
•diffusion (widespread replication and growth) of
technologies
TECHNOLOGY IN AUTOMOBILES

• There are many impacts that have been made by

technology on the automobile industry .
• Aautomobiles have become more advanced since they were
first created and automobile manufacturers are adapting
to advanced Technologies which incorporates a lot of
automobile factors like artificial intelligence, machine
learning, and robotics find their application in the
automobile sector.
• Other trends include computer vision, robotics, and deep
learning.
PROBLEMS FACED BY TATA MOTORS
( DURING COVID 19)
•Disrupted supply chain
•Shutdown of manufacturing industries
•Drop in vehicles sales
INITIATIVES TAKEN BY TATA MOTORS
• Investment in research and technology department
• Prediction of future demand
• Presentation of AVINYA electric car concept.
PROBLEMS FACED BY MAHINDRA
( DURING COVID 19)
• Lack of funds for research and development
• Not identifying opportunities and getting first mover
advantage
• Lack of future prediction
INTIATIVE TAKEN BY MAHINDRA

• Development of MAHINDRA 2.O

• 3D printing for rapid prototyping
• New record of Technological inventions
CONCLUSION
• From the presentation we can find that both the
competitors faced different problems at same time and by
analysing we find that however TATA MOTORS
performed more well as in present they have 18.23%
market share internationally and MAHINDRA have
10.34% internationally which I quite high to that of in
2020 and 2021.( during covid TATA – 7.23%
MAHINDRA – 5.03%)
• Thus initiative of both automobile industries worked well
