 Digitilization is a term that has been used more and more frequently in public discourse in
recent years ,with many variants of the term used and in many cases , misused and misleading.
In general, using the term digitilization ,we aim to change the impact and consequences of
information and communication .
 Digitilization refers to enabling or improving processes by levarging digital technologies and
digitilized data. It increases productivity and efficiency while reducing the costs.
 Digitlization improves an existing business process or processes but doesn’t change or
transform them .That is to say , it takes a process from a human- driven event or series of events
to software-driven
PURPOSE

 The main reason to digitilize ypur business is that digitilization is not a trend , but
the way the whole world is heading.
 The purpose of digitlization is to enable automation , increase data quality ,and
collect and structure all that data so we can apply advanced technology , such as
better and smarter software.
 The outcome of digitilization is higher process efficiency, lower transaction costs
and better control of business operation , both for the individual company and for
the network of connected business.
MERITS OF DIGTILIZATION

 Every business is continuously looking for innovative methods to improve efficiency .If you want to become more
efficient in business, you will need to embark on the digitilization journey as it reduces the time to complete the task ,
the effort necessary to complete it, and the cost of doing correctly.

 Transparency in business process and their status are digitally monitored, higher management will have more faith un
how things are done . Well documented processes and transparent workflow boost an organization’s visibility .

 One of the most significant merits of digitilization is that it guarantees that each operation is carried out in a consistent
manner , resulting in high-quality , dependable output.

 When employees are required to focus on manual repetitive task, it reduces their ability to learn ,develop ,and advance
professionally . Empolyees benefit from digitilization since it automates these repetitive activities allowing them to
engage in more significant initiatives and so enhancing their morale.

 Digitilization and information management work hand in hand ; as information is analyzed , it transforms into
knowledge and knowledge leads to better decisions.
IMPACT OF COVID’19 ON DIGITILIZATION

 When COVID’19 struck , it forced societal changes around the globe. Nearly overnight , government
issued orders that limited large gatherings of people , restricted in-person business operations and
encouraged people to work from home as much as possible .In response , business and schools alike
began to look for ways to continue their operations remotely ,thanks to internet . They tuned to
various collaborations platforms and video conferencing capacities to remain engaged with their
colleagues , clients, and students while working form home offices .

 Even prior ti the pandemic , techonology had become an increasingly important part of the
workforce . Business were looking at technology as a helpful means of engaging with customers ,
allowing , some workplace flexibility, and for a way to introduce automation and faster processes.

 According to Mckinsey , respondents indicates that the companies were able to adapt the changes 20-
25 times faster than they would have expected. Specifically, in the area of remote working , these
respondents thought that their business were able to implement 40 ties faster than they would have
expected in pre pandemic conditions . What employees would have expected to take a year to
implement at their organizations took an average of 11 days. The brands were able create a workable
solution to allow employees to continue their jobs at home.
CONCLUSION

The process of digitlization requires an entirely different mindset , the high


availability of resources for investment and digital transformation purposes and the
different competencies and the knowledgr that the existing workforce possesses.
Such reasons give rise to various training initiatives for the workforce and consumers
intending to develop digital competencies not only crucial in the context of work and
employment but also in the context of the use of services and the organizations of
professional and private life.
