BSED 2A
The researchers conducted a survey on a BSED 3A
(Science major) in Nueva Ecija University of Science and
Technology about their grades in Prof ed 11, SES 15, and
SES 16 and to test if they are significantly related at a 5%
level of confidence.
STEP 1: STATE NULL AND ALTERNATIVE
HYPOTHESIS
Null hypothesis: There is no significant relationship in the
grades of BSED 3A in Prof ed 11, SES 15, and SES 16.

Alternative hypothesis: There is a significant relationship

between the grades of BSED 3A in Prof ed 11, SES 15,
and SES 16.
Step 2: level of significance and degrees of
freedom

Alpha level: 0.05

Step 3: statistical tool and critical value

ANOVA OR F-TEST
F-CRIT. VALUE =3.2317
STEP 4: Solve the means
STEP 5: Solve Sum of squares

Step 6: compute the f-ratio

= 2,711.2375
Step 7: Decision

Since the computed f-ratio is which is greater than

the f-critical value of 3.2317 in , the null hypothesis
is rejected. There is a significant relationship
between the grades of BSED 3A in Prof ed 11, SES
15, and SES 16 at a significance level of 0.05.
