TCAST Overview – Basic Flow
 Front Office Users enter Companies and contacts, Job Orders and Employees into
Salesforce.com (SFDC)
 SFDC sends “People”, “Customer”, “Bill Spec” and “Job Order” data to TCAST. “SPID” data
is also sent to TCAST. Any Errors are viewable in TCAST and data can be corrected in
SFDC
 TCAST Processes the data into TCAST Core Tables
 TCAST communicates with “Salesforce Identity” (Managed by MCC) to generate Log In
Credentials (User name and password) for Candidates and Clients
 TCAST Creates Timesheet Shells for each week to allow time entry and approvals
 Candidates log in to enter time and Clients log in to Approve time or return timesheets if
changes are needed
 FSC enters time for manual timesheets and can route timesheets to the Branches to resolve
any issues encountered for manual timesheets as well an Online timesheets
 TCAST calculates OT/DT (via WGE) based on configured rules and generates Batch and
Reference numbers and creates Payrecords for SFDC Job Orders
 TCAST Creates Perm/Conversion Payrecords from the Job Order data
 FSC can create Manual Payrecords and process Payrecord adjustments as allowed
 TCAST send the finalized Payrecords to HCM/FIN for Payroll/Billing processing

After time has been Entered and Approved
After time has been Entered and Approved, how does the Overtime and
Double time get calculated and how does it get to payroll?

TCAST uses several jobs to gather, process and deliver this information
– Work Group Enrollment Processes - Delivered and Custom
– Time and Labor Processes - Delivered and Custom
– TCAST to Payrec process – Custom process that creates Payrecords for
timesheets
These jobs are used to identify which rules to use to determine the OT and DT
calculation based on the worksite and the Hours entered per day as well as to
create payrecords with Batch and Reference numbers used for sending to
Payroll and Billing.

“WGE”
 The WGE batch job is more than just “Work Group Enrollment”
– Work Group Enrollment Processes - Delivered and Custom
– Time and Labor Processes - Delivered and Custom
– TCAST to Payrec process – Custom process that sends calculated time to TCAST
Paurecords

 Workgroup Enrollment identifies which Workgroup a Timesheet


belongs to which in turn is used to identify which rules to calculate
the OT and DT based on the Hours entered per day
– Based on State/Province rules and Country Federal rules

 We use “Most” of the delivered Time and Labor functionality in TCAST

TCAST to Payrec
 The TCAST to Payrecord process is part of the “WGE” batch which runs
multiple times during the day
 The Post Pay Confirm job is run nightly after the Payroll processes have
completed

 In Testing, in order for the timesheet to be processed and set to “SPY” the
employee must exist in HCM and the EFFDT of the employee must be <= the
Job Order Start date or it will error out
