People express their mental states, including
emotions, thoughts, and desires, all the time
through facial Expressions, vocal nuances and
gestures.
Mind Reading machine is co-ordination of
human psychology & computer techniques.
Some equipment are used to gather data &
then analyzed. To use those data for further
prediction is known as “THEORY OF MIND

Mind reading computer may be defined as the machine that speculate
the human mental states.
The understanding of a human’s thoughts is one of the most difficult
tasks.
No one exactly knows what a person would do in the upcoming
second by executing his present thoughts or what would a person
thought about any other human or what would a person desires and
many more.
But a mind reading computer could give the answer of all these
questions.
It was developed by a team of Cambridge university, taking an
inspiration from the Psychology, vision of computer and Machine
Learning.

COMPUTER..?
The mind-reading computer system
presents an information about your mental
state as easily as the keyboard and mouse
presents the text and commands. Imagine
a future where we are surrounded with
cars, mobile phones, and online services
that can read our minds and react to our
moods.
We are working with a major car
manufacturer to implement this system in
cars to detect driver mental states such as
drowsiness, distraction and anger.
HOW DOES IT WORK
Futuristic Headband:
The user wears a futuristic headband that sends the light in
that spectrum into the tissues of the head where it is
absorbed
by active, blood-filled tissues. The headband after that
measures how much light was not absorbed, letting the
computer gauge the metabolic demands that the brain is
making.

Facial Effect Detection:
It is done using hidden Markov model, Neutral network model or Active appearance
model
Emotional Classification:
Classification by Paul Ekman Anger, Fear, Happiness, Disgust, Sadness,
Surprise
Facial Electromyography:
It is used to measure electrical activity of the facial muscles. Muscles used are “Corrugator
Supercilii Muscle” and others
Galvanic Skin Response:
It is a measure of Skin conductivity, Which is dependent on how moist the
skin is..

CONCLUSION
Mindreading is the ability to infer other people’s mental state and use
that to make sense of and predict their behavior.
A lack of or impairment in the theory of mind (mindblindness) is the
primary inhibitor of emotion understanding and social intelligence in
individuals with autism.
A mind-reading architecture based on an Eye Language Interpreter
and Baron-Cohen’s Mindreading System is developed for the
recognition and prediction of complex emotion states.
We believe that seamless, non- obtrusive and implicit mindreading
capabilities in mainstream interfaces will open new possibilities for
intelligent and effective interfaces.
