Design for the most economical diameter of a cooling system piping
network for a simple vapor compression cycle that uses R134a as a
refrigerant and operates between -4C and 49C under a capacity of
20TOR. Assume no heat loss or gain between the transfer of heat
from the refrigerant to the cooling water. Assume for cooling water
to be 5C and entering water temperature at the condenser of 25C.
Assume also that the pipe material is Galvanized steel and the
piping network has a length of 10000ft and uses 8, 90elbows and 2
gate valves. Other assumptions are as follows:

Pump Efficiency: 87%

Pipe Schedule: Schedule 40
Max. z od the system = 30m
Economic Assumptions:
Fully Automated Piping Network
Procurement year = 2024
Inflation rate = 7.8%
Interest rate = 17% compounded annually
