WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT
PRELIMINARY DOCUMENTS?
VOCABULARY
INTAKE MEMO: collects all the
information an organization or
department needs to properly assess
and route an individual or request
through a business process.
FEE AGREEMENT: establishes the
parameters for work done between a
client and a service provider.
RETAINER AGREEMENT: a work-for-
hire legal document or a service
contract between a company or an
individual and a client.
VOCABULARY
FORM LETTER: a letter written from a
template, rather than being specially
composed for a specific recipient.

LITIGATION: the process of resolving


disputes by filing or answering a
complaint through the public court
system.

discussed at a formal meeting.
