Land Transport

Past: How people travelled and how things have improved?

In the past, people walked or used animals such as horses and donkey to
travel from one place to another. By above 4000BCE, people had learnt
to use simple vehicles drawn by animals such as bullock carts.
Present: Examples of vehicles used today
Trains, Cars, Taxies, etc…
Water Transport
Past: How people Travelled and how things have improved, as well?
The earliest means of water transport were log rafts and wooden
canoes. Gradually, people learnt to build sailing boats powered by
wind. This was followed by the development of ships powered by
steamed engines. Today, we have ships which run on diesel. An
example of the water vehicles that are used these days is a container
ship which is a type of large vessel designed to carry large metal
containers used to store goods.
Air Transport
Past: How did people travelled and how did things improved?
In the past, people made many attempts to travel by air. These
included hot air balloons, air-ships and hand-gliders, which depended
on wind to move. As there’s no way to to control the strengths and
direction of wind, air travel did not succeed until the invention of the
airplane in early 1900s. Aeroplane has since evolved into today’s
modern passenger jet aircrafts that allow us to travel faster and further
than ever, before. There are also air vehicles such as jets, ufo, and
space settles in present.
