Management My Presentation is Issues and Trends in Clothing Business Introduction Business is the activity of making one's living or making money by producing or buying and selling products (such as goods and services). Simply put, it is "any activity or enterprise entered into for profit. The initiative taken for profit through cloth is called cloth business Trends • Brand: Brands may focus on areas such as fashion design and marketing or may operate the entire end-to-end process of manufacturing and distributing fashions to customers like Yellow, Noir, Cat's eye, Infinity, Zara, Noborupa, Eastasy. • Retail: Retail shops may design their own items or act as fashion buyers that focus on areas such as logistics, marketing, sales and retail operations. • Fast Fashion: Firms that are able to identify current fashion trends and bring them to market quickly. This often means operating an end-to-end process of design, manufacture, logistics, marketing, retail and ecommerce. • E-commerce: Marketing, selling and offering services such as custom tailoring through electronic channels Issues • Environmental issue: One of the central ethical concerns by the clothing industry is on the relationship between environment and the people • Social Well-being Issues: The social ethical issues affecting the clothing industry include a broad collection of factors including violation of employees’ rights, use of child labor, sweatshops, underpayment of labor as well as poor working conditions • Sexual Objectification: Over the years there have been complaints against women objectification in most advertisements concerning fashion. The adverts usually portray the women as artistic objects with high desire for men, which strengthens stereotypical gender roles and leads to negative impacts, particularly in the way female experience their bodies • Supply Chain Concerns: As a result of outsourcing the supply chain in the clothing industry are getting complex and longer.
