Closing a project
 A project is a temporary endeavour – it must have an end
 Show what objectives (hopefully, all) have been met
 Unachieved goals and objectives are identified for future action
 Move the product into BAU or some larger programme
 Transfers ownership of product to the customer
 Project team is disbanded
 Terminates management team responsibilities
 No further project costs are incurred
Closing a project
 May take the form of a workshop
 Includes a review of final release
 Ensure the customer’s quality expectations and acceptance criteria
have been fully met
 Operational handover
 Training and technical documentation finalised
 Lessons learned

 Scheduling manager:
• Meeting minutes, communication plan, Gantt chart (again)
