 WHAT IS THE DEFINITION OF SONG ?

• A song is a short piece of music, usually combines with words, melody, and
vocals. A song consists of words called lyrics, verses which tell the story, and a
refrain, a short phrase repeated at the end of every verse.
• (Lagu adalah musik pendek, biasanya digabungkan dengan kata-kata, melodi, dan vokal.
Sebuah lagu terdiri dari kata-kata yang disebut lirik, bait-bait yang menceritakan kisah,
dan refrein, frasa pendek yang diulang di akhir setiap bait.)

 WHAT IS THE GENERIC STRUCTURE OF
A SONG

1. Song Title
2. Verse : a series of lyrics that tell the main story of the song and keep the action or thoughts
moving forward (Bait : serangkaian lirik yang menceritakan kisah utama lagu dan membuat
tindakan atau pemikiran terus bergerak maju )
3. Chorus/refrain: meant to be the most memorable part, containing the ultimate message of
the piece. (Chorus/refrain : dimaksudkan untuk menjadi bagian yang paling berkesan, berisi
pesan akhir dari karya tersebut)
4. Bridge : a passage of music that contrasts the verse and the chorus, and is generally used to
take the listener from one section to the next. . (Jembatan : bagian musik yang kontras
dengan bait dan paduan suara, dan umumnya digunakan untuk membawa pendengar dari satu
bagian ke bagian berikutnya..
