WHAT IS THE SONG LYRICS?

Song lyrics is the composition of the art of tones or sounds
in a sequence, combination, and temporal relationship
(usually accompanied by musical instruments) to produce
musical compositions that contain unity and continuity.

PURPOSE OF SONG LTRICS

Songs are used to express feeling and idea in an
entertaining world. Songs can beused to deliver social
criticism. The moral values are hidden in the lyrics.

GENERIC STRUCTURE OF SONG

1. The intro, which is the beginning of the song, usually has no
sound singer (instrumental only)
2. Verse, or stanza is the introduction to the chorus.
3. Refrain, the transition from verse to chorus
4. The chorus, the core section, is usually the easiest to remember
5. Bridge, linking the chorus to the next chorus or to the coda.
6. Coda, closing song.

LANGUAGE FEATURES OF SONG

1. Imagery. Imagery describes about feelings and emotions. A
songusually try to describe the feelings that are felt siwriter.
2. Rhythm. The rhythm here is used to create a mood. For
example,when we are sad and listen to songs with rhythmslow, then
we will be carried away by the song. So,rhythm creates mood!
3. Figures of speech : Metaphor, Simile, Hyperbole, Personification,
Allititration,
