 A  document scanner is an input device that scans documents such as
photographs and pages of text. When a document is scanned, it is converted
into a digital format. This creates an electronic version of the document that
can be viewed and edited on a computer. These scanners are frequently used in
business settings to convert important documents into digital data. Document
scanners are helpful for small organizations and enterprises alike.

Document When purchasing a document scanner there are things one must consider e.g.

How much space is available for a scanner? 

Scanner How many dots per inch (dpi) do you require? 


 How much bit depth do you need? 


 How much would you like to spend? 
 Do you prefer a flatbed scanner or a sheet-fed scanner? 
 Does this scanner suite all my document imaging needs?

 MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) is


used to read numbers on bank checks. They can

Digital Camera
 A digital camera is a camera that captures photographs in digital memory. Most cameras
produced today are digital, largely replacing those that capture images on photographic
film.
 A digital camera may be considered both an input and output device  as it can both take
pictures (input) and send them to your computer (output).
