CYBERBULLYING

WHAT IS BULLYING????
• Bullying is a distinctive pattern of repeatedly and deliberately harming
and humiliating others, specifically those who are smaller, weaker,
younger or in any way more vulnerable than the bully.
• Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among school aged children
that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is
repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Both kids
who are bullied and who bully others may have serious, lasting
problems. But also bullying can happen everywhere for example in
workplace, family, etc…….
TYPES OF BULLYING
• Verbal bullying
• Social bullying
• Physical bullying
• Cyberbullying
CYBERBULLYING
• Cyberbullying is bullying that takes place over digital devices like cell phones,
computers, and tablets. Cyberbullying can occur through SMS, Text, and apps, or
online in social media, forums, or gaming where people can view, participate in,
or share content. Cyberbullying includes sending, posting, or sharing negative,
harmful, false, or mean content about someone else. It can include sharing
personal or private information about someone else causing embarrassment or
humiliation. Some cyberbullying crosses the line into unlawful or criminal
behavior.
EFFECTS OF CYBERBULLYING
• For many cyber bullying affects their everyday lives and is a constant source of
distress and worry.  With mobile technology being so freely available it is an
ongoing issue and one that is relentless.  Not only does it go on after school,
college or work has finished, but it then carries through into the next day and the
cycle continues.  It has been well documented that cyber bullying has resulted in
tragic events including suicide, and self-harm and clearly, more needs to be done
in order to protect vulnerable children and adults from online bullying.
EFFECTS OF CYBERBULLYING
• Sometimes the effects can also be symptoms that you can notice on the victim.
So if you are worried that your child or a loved one might be the victim of cyber
bullying here are some signs to look out for:-
• low self-esteem
• Withdrawal from family and spending a lot of time alone
• Reluctance to let parents or other family members anywhere near their mobiles, laptops etc….
• Finding excuses to stay away from school or work including school refusal
• Friends disappearing or being excluded from social events
• Losing weight or changing appearance to try and fit in
• Fresh marks on the skin that could indicate self-harm
• A change in personality anger , depression, crying, withdrawn
LAWS
• ll states have laws requiring schools to respond to bullying. As
cyberbullying has become more prevalent with the use of technology,
many states now include cyberbullying , or mention cyberbullying
offenses, under these laws. Schools may take action either as required
by law, or with local or school policies that allow them to discipline or
take other action. Some states also have provisions to address
bullying if it affects school performance.
HOW TO DEAL WITH CYBERBULLYING
• 1. Don’t retaliate and write a nasty post in response.
• 2. Do not take the rude comments personally nor doubt your views or
beliefs.
• 3. Do not reread the offending comments.
• 4. Understand that not everyone has your same beliefs or views.
• 6. Take a technology break.
• 7. Technology doesn’t have to make us victims or perpetrators of
bullying.
• Tell someone wise and ask for help
• Block and delete
A MEESAGE FROM ME
TRUE LOVE STARTS WITH LOVING YOURSELF. LOVING WHO YOU ARE
WITH YOUR FLAWS AND MISTAKES. WITH YOUR BADS BEFORE YOUR
GOODS. YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO YOUR INNER VOICE NOT WHAT
OTHERS SAY. WHO ARE THEY TO CONTROL YOU AND MAKE YOU FEEL
BAD??? YOU ARE HERE TO ACHIEVE YOUR DREAMS,TO FIND WHO YOU
ARE, WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE NOT TO BE PERFECT. YOU SHOULD
NEVER COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS YOU ARE WHO YOU ARE. SO
NOW LET AS FORGIVE OURSELVES . LOVE OURSELVES. BELIEVE IN
OURSELVES.
ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT AFTER WINTER SPRING WILL ALWAYS COME.
“Maybe I made a mistake yesterday, but yesterday’s me is still me. I am who I am today, with all my faults. Tomorrow I
might be a tiny bit wiser, and that’s me, too. These faults and mistakes are what I am. I have come to love myself for who I
was, who I am, and who I hope to become "So, let’s all take one more step. We have learned to love ourselves, so now I urge
you to “speak yourself.” "Tell me your story. I want to hear your voice, and I want to hear your conviction. No matter who
you are, where you’re from, your skin color, gender identity: speak yourself. "Find your name, find your voice by speaking
yourself.” I have many faults and I have many fears, but I am going to embrace myself as hard as I can, and I’m starting to
love myself, little by little.”

"What is your name? Speak Yourself”
