WHAT IS
BULLY ?
Bullying is a intentionally causing
suffering for someone else often someone
who can’t or won’t defend themselves .
HOW DOES IT EFFECT YOU OR THE PEOPLE
AROUND YOU ?
•Mental Health Issues: Bullying has been linked to a variety of mental health issues, including
depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Victims of bullying often suffer from
feelings of helplessness and hopelessness As these negative feelings build up, they can manifest as
more serious mental health issues that require professional help to overcome.
•Low Self-Esteem: Bullying can do a lot of damage to an individual’s self esteem. When someone is
constantly put down and belittled, it’s hard for them to feel good about themselves. Victims of
bullying may begin to believe the negative things they are told and feel like they’re not good enough.
This can lead to a cycle of low self-esteem that is difficult to break out of.
•Perpetuating Bullying Behavior: Unfortunately, bullying isn’t just a one-way street. Victims of
bullying may end up becoming bullies themselves as a result of the trauma and pain that they have
experienced. This behavior can perpetuate the cycle of bullying, as those who have been victims may
act out their aggression on others in the same manner that they have been treated
