Letter of Application
A letter of application, also known as a cover letter, is a
document sent with your resume to provide additional
information about your skills and experience to an
employer. The purpose of this letter is intended to provide
detailed information to attract the attention of the employer
and persuade him/her to give you the opportunity to be
interviewed. To do this, the letter presents what you can
offer to the employer, rather than what you want from the
job.

An effective application letters should let the employer


know what position you are applying for, what makes you
strong candidate, explain your qualifications for the job,
and show that you are the ideal candidate for the job.

Types of Application Letters:

phone number, email) followed by the date.
 Salutation: This is your polite greeting. The most common
salutation is "Dear Mr./Ms." followed by the person's last
name. Find out more about appropriate

know the person's name, or are unsure of a contact's gender.

What to Include in Each Section of the Letter

 Body of the letter: Think of this section as being three distinct parts.


a. In the first paragraph, you'll want to mention the job you are applying for and where you saw
the job listing.
b. The next paragraph(s) are the most important part of your letter. Remember how you gathered
all that information about what employers were seeking, and how you could meet their needs?
This is where you'll share those relevant details on your experience and accomplishments.
c. The third and last part of the body of the letter will be your thank you to the employer; you
can also offer follow-up information.
d. Complimentary Close: Sign off your email with a polite close, such as "Best" or "Sincerely,"
followed by your name.
 Signature: When you're sending or uploading a printed letter, end with
your signature, handwritten, followed by your typed name. If this is an
email, simply include your typed name, followed by your contact
information.

Curriculum Vitae
A curriculum vitae, often abbreviated as CV, is a
mandatory document that usually contains
detailed information about the applicant. It is
used to apply for positions within areas where a
person’s specific knowledge or expertise is
required. Generally, CV contains personal data,
namely full name, address, date and place of
birth, educational background and work
experience. A curriculum vitae is usually longer
than a resume and must include the information
that the recruiter needs to verify the skills,
experience, and educational qualifications of an
applicant.

The major sections of A Curriculum Vitae
are the following:
 Personal data: This section contains your name, address, religion, email,
phone number and other personal identification.
 Employment : give the dates when you started and finished in each job
you have had, especially those related to the job you are seeking. Add the
name and address of the company or employer. Sometimes it is important
to provide a short summary about the job consisted in, emphasizing your
skills and abilities and the results obtained.
 Education: This section describes the educational background and relates
to the intended job. In general, many make a CV explaining from
kindergarten (most basic education), elementary, junior high school to
college (last Education).
 Work Experience: This section is the most viewed section by job
recruiters. Work experience gives an idea of whether a candidate already
has sufficient flying hours or is still limited.

 Skills Possessed: in this section, it needs to be explained in the CV


what skills have been possessed as a learning process and experience
from previous jobs. And made in a convincing and informative form.
 Training Ever Attended: To be more convincing, it is necessary to
include a list of training that has been followed before to give an idea
of how far the CV owner has grown and what insights he already has.
 Achievements: This is an important part in addition to work
experience that explains the uniqueness, advantages and achievements
as an individual as well as in a particular field.

Tips and How to make a CV
Create A Simple But Attractive Design: don't use fonts that
are too basic like Times New Roman. Choose a modern font
Show Your Foreign Language Skills: Often a CV that uses a
foreign language is the main attraction for every company. pay
attention to the correct and formal use of foreign grammar,
avoiding the use of slang words.
Add the Soft skills you have: As for examples of some soft
skills, is critical thinking, leadership, teamwork, negotiation
and others.
