Alkali metal namely:
• Lithium (Li)
• Sodium (Na)
• Potassium (K)
• Rubidium (Rb)
• Cesium (Cs)
• Francium (Fr)
The six commonly recognized
metalloids:
• Boron
• Silicon
• Germanium
• Arsenic
• Antimony
• Tellurium
15 actinide
• Actinium (Ac)
• Thorium (Th)
• Protactinium (Pa)
• Uranium (U)
• Neptunium (Np)
The most abundant or easily
• Plutonium (Pu) synthesized actinides are
• Americium (Am) uranium and thorium, followed
• Curium (Cm) by plutonium, americium,
• Berkelium (Bk) actinium, protactinium,
• Californium (Cf) neptunium, and curium.
• Einsteinium (Es)
• Fermium (Fm)
• Mendelevium (Md)
• Nobelium (No)
• Lawrencium (Lr)
Alkaline-earth Metals

• Alkaline-earth metal, any of the six chemical

elements that comprise Group 2 (IIa) of the
periodic table.
• The elements are beryllium (Be), magnesium
(Mg), calcium (Ca), strontium (Sr), barium (Ba),
and radium (Ra)
Halogen Elements
• The halogen elements are the six elements in
Group 17 of the periodic table. Group 17 is the
second column from the right in the periodic
table and contains six elements:
• Fluorine (F), chlorine (Cl), bromine (Br), iodine
(I), astatine (As), and tennessine (Ts). Astatine
and tennessine are radioactive elements with
very short half-lives and thus do not occur
naturally
Here is a list of elements that are considered to
be transition metals or transition elements.

• Scandium, Titanium, Vanadium, Chromium, Manganese,

Iron, Cobalt, Nickel, Copper, Zinc, Yttrium, Zirconium,
Niobium, Molybdenum, Technetium, Ruthenium, Rhodium,
Palladium, Silver, Cadmium, Lanthanum, sometimes (often
considered a rare earth, lanthanide), Hafnium, Tantalum,
Tungsten, Rhenium, Osmium, Iridium, Platinum, Gold,
Mercury
• Actinium, sometimes (often considered a rare earth,
actinide), Rutherfordium, Dubnium. Seaborgium, Bohrium,
Hassium, Meitnerium, Darmstadtium, Roentgenium,
Copernicium presumably is a transition metal
Noble Gases Elements
• Group 8A (or VIIIA) of the periodic table are the
noble gases or inert gases: helium (He), neon
(Ne), argon (Ar), krypton (Kr), xenon (Xe), and
radon (Rn). The name comes from the fact that
these elements are virtually unreactive towards
other elements or compounds.
Rare Earth Elements
Rare Earth Elements or Lathanide
• Lanthanum (La), Cerium (Ce), Praseodymium (Pr),
Neodymium (Nd), Promethium (Pm), Samarium
(Sm), Europium (Eu), Gadolinium (Gd), Terbium
(Tb), Dysprosium (Dy), Holmium (Ho), Erbium
(Er), Thulium (Tm), Ytterbium (Yb), and Lutetium
(Lu). Yttrium (Y, atomic no. 39) and Scandium (Sc,
atomic no. 21) are sometimes included in the group
of rare earth elements. The elements Cerium (Ce,
atomic no. 58) through Lutetium (Lu, atomic no. 71)
are commonly known as the lanthanide series.
7 elements that belong
to the nonmetals group
Nonmetals Elements

• Hydrogen (sometimes considered an alkali

metal), Carbon, Nitrogen, Oxygen,
Phosphorus, Sulfur, Selenium.
