रोमकू पानुगं पितं वातेन सहमूर्च्छितम।
प्राच्यावयति रोमाणि ततः श्लेष्मा स शोणितः।।
रूणध्दि रोमकू पास्तु तत्तोअन्ये तेषाम सम्भवः।
तदि इंद्रलुप्तं खालित्य रुज्येति च विभाव्यते।।

which cause patchy hair loss it can result in a
single bald patches or extensive patchy hair
loss .

Alopecia totalis is a more advanced form of
alopecia areata Which results in total loss of All
hair on the scalp.

Alopecia universalis (AU)
 Alopecia universalis is most advanced form of
alopecia areata which results in a total loss of
hair all over body including eyelashes and
eyebrows.

 Alopecia Barbae is Alopecia areata that is
localized to beared area .It can be Single bald
patches Or more extensive Hair loss Across the
whole of the beared area .

Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA)
 Also known as Male Or female Pattern of
Baldness .
 It is thininng Of the hair to An almost
transparent state In both male Or female.
 It is hereditary .
 In Both male and female .It's linked to having
an Excess of male Hormone (androgen)Around
the hair follicle Which can block hair growth.
 Most cases of Hair loss due to Androgenic
alopecia.

Scarring alopecias (cicatricial)
 Scarring alopecias refers to a group of rare
disorders Which cause permanent Hair loss .
 Caused by any Inflammatory process which
causes permanent Damage to hair follicles
(burns,Bacterial infection , autoimmune
disease ).

Causes of Alopecia
 Hereditary factors
 Hormonal changes -due to pregnancy,
menopause,thyroid problem.
 Medical condition- scalp infection of ringworm
hair pulling disorders called trichotillomania.
 Medicine and supplement - Treatment of
cancer (chemotherapy),HTN, depression etc.
 Radiation therapy. Hair Treatment.
