ABOUT SONARGAON

Sonargaon is one of the old capitals of the historic region of Bengal and was an
administrative center of eastern Bengal.

 Sonargaon is home to some of the oldest buildings in Bangladesh

Sonargaon was the capital of the ancient kingdom ruled by Isa Khan of Bengal.

This place was a great political and trading center for people. This is why

Sonargaon possesses rich architecture of Mughal, Sultanate and the colonial

periods.

SONARGAON, MUSEUM

The Sonargaon Museum is one of the greatest attractions


of the ancient city Sonargoan and attracts many people.
It is one of the biggest galleries of ancient items, in
Bangladesh.
It has ancient pieces of clothing, pottery, terracotta, tools,
instruments, etc.
It is known well for its big collection earthen things.
It is quite an educational and amazing experience.

SONARGAON MUSEUM :
PANAM CITY :

 On our study tour we have been to Sonargaon Panam City .


 We went there by bus and is 2.5 km from north of Dhaka-Chittagong.
 We need ticket to visit which is not very high price. We visited there by 1
pm.
 Here we saw many architectural sites and old buildings.
 It was built on both Bengali and European style .
PANAM CITY (CONT:)

 It is the most ancient city of Bangladesh and the capital of Bengali


ruler Isa Khan and a trading centre.
 It was built in 13th century and rich Hindu people lived there. They
built there 52 houses .
 We saw foreigners go there from different countries to see the sites.
 We went to the city is a few minutes from museum by foot.
 The cities are almost in ruins today
PANAM CITY:
THE BASE CAMP WHERE WE HAD CULTURAL
PROGRAMS

 At 1.00 p.m we went to the base camp by walking which was 10 minutes away from the
museum.

 Firstly, we had played games with our friends and enjoyed a lot.

 Secondly, we were given food to eat during lunch.

 Thirdly, we had cultural programs where we enjoyed dances, songs, poem recitations.

 Finally at 4.30 p.m we departed from the base camp to our school.

TIME TO SAY GOODBYE

We were leaving the base camp by bus and did also have a good time on the bus. We
were given food and drinks. When we reached the school it was the actual time to say
goodbye to our besties and go home and take a nap.

And this is also the time to say goodbye as the slideshow is over. Hope you like the
