PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE
 PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE

Present continuous tense digunakan untuk

menyatakan perbuatan/peristiwa yang sedang
berlangsung atau sedang terjadi sekarang (now).

Contoh:
We are studying English now
The teacher is explaining the lesson now
Rumus Present Continuous Tense

(+) S + To be + Ving + O
• She is speaking English now

(-) S + To be + not + Ving + (O)

• She isn’t speaking English now

(?)To be + S + Ving + O
• Is she speaking English now?

Future tense digunakan untuk menyatakan

perbuatan/peristiwa akan datang/ akan terjadi
(will)

Contoh:
We will go to Paris next week
He will be the next president
 Rumus Future Tense
(+) S + Will + V1 + O
• She will watch a movie tomorrow
• They will visit the park next week

(-) S + Will + not + V1 + O

• She won’t (will not) watch a movie tomorrow
• They won’t (will not) visit the park next week

(?) Will + S + V1 + O
• Will she watch a movie tomorrow?
• Will they visit a park next week?
 To be + Going to = Will
(+) S + to be + going to + V1 O
• She is going to watch a movie tomorrow
• They are going to visit the park next week

(-) S + to be + not + going to + V1 + O

• She isn’t going to watch a movie tomorrow
• They aren’t going to visit the park next week

(?) To be + S + going to + V1 + O
• Is she going to watch a movie tomorrow?
• Are they going to they visit a park next week?
PRESENT PERFECT TENSE

Present perfect tense digunakan untuk

menyatakan perbuatan/peristiwa yang telah
selesai dilakukan (have/has + v3).

Contoh:
She has done her homework since l
I have visited England twice.
 Rumus Present Perfect Tense
(+) S + has/have+ V3 + O
• She has studied Science for 3 hours.
• They have returned the book to the library since yesterday

(-) S + has/have + not + V3 + O

• She hasn’t studied Science for 3 hours.
• They haven’t returned the book to the library since yesterday

(?)Has/have + S + V3 + O
• Has she studied Science?
• Have they returned the book to the library?
