COMPARATIVE ADJECTIVES
we use the comparative form + than to talk about the differences
between two people, places, or things.
e.g. Mike’s taller than his brother.

COMPARATI FORMATION OF THE COMPARATIVE OF ADJECTIVES

Adjectives of one or two syllables form the comparative by adding –
ADJECTIVE er. e.g. fast – faster.
S Adjectives of more than two syllables form the comparative with
more.
e.g. beautiful – more beautiful.
SPELLING RULES
With short adjectives (one syllable), we add –(e)r at the end of the
adjective

With long adjectives (two syllables or more), we use more before
the adjective.
