Group work – case study
The case study focus on the reporting and analysis of Corporate Governance
quality of 5 firms that belong to the same sector. This group work comprises
TWO parts:
1. Constitution of a detailed Corporate Governance scoring for each firm
(methodology + scores)
2. Writing of a complete argued note that will synthesize the main trends,
outlines and conclusions.
Group work – case study
Missions :
1. Select 5 listed multinational firms from the same industry (sector)
2. Each member of the group will work on one firm, then you’ll compare your
results
3. The analysis should focus on its governance structure, processes and
practices based on all publicly available information (reports, press articles,
interviews, media sources, etc…)
4. Develop a structured scoring methodology (use excel tables and graphics)
5. Compose a detailed note including the tables/graphics and a comparative
analysis (word or pdf format)
1. Ex: Lead/lag firms
2. Best/worst/controversial practices
6. Submit the report (doc or pdf) by mail to (elias.erragragui@u-picardie.fr)
before the 13/10/2019.

1. Firms’ identification
All firms should be listed
Collect relevant source of information available to public
(financial and CSR reports, press articles, interviews, media sources,
etc…)
Identify firms’ economic position (size, activities, subsidiaries,
geographical localisation, performance trends, etc…)
Investigate its ownership structure
Investigate its public image (among experts/specialized journals/rating
agencies/awards & prizes)
