accomplish, and why? You can generate thoughts on this by looking at
the high-level tasks covered in your business or user requirements, such
as “find product recommendations.” Perhaps the user wants to find

Facilitate the Prioritization Process
You’ve got your set of business requirements that have been fleshed out with
features based on user requirements and your ideation work. now comes
one of the hardest parts: whittling it all down to a prioritized list of high_x0002_value requirements.
As you walk through the requirements that need to be prioritized, have the
project objectives handy, as well as your user model, to help you focus the
discussion on your target groups. in addition to you, in your role as user
advocate, the prioritization process should also include:
Someone who represents the viewpoint of the business (the business
advocate).
Someone who represents the viewpoint of the development team
(the development advocate).

the project manager).
This person may not need to be in the prioritization
meetings
but will set any constraints that affect prioritization (such as
deadlines or budget) and ensure the final list fits within them

it can be tempting to consider prioritization a shared responsibility
between the project sponsor, the project manager, and the lead of
the development team rather than an issue for a UX designer. There
is nothing further from the truth.

to bear for these important conversations
The prioritization team walks through each of the requirements to answer
the following questions:
if you’re working on parallel but distinct areas of the site, you can be working fairly
independently on the documents you create. if you’re breaking up work in a way that’s very
interdependent, you’ll need to plan for time to reconcile your designs, and you may also
need a way to track and merge different versions on documents. Save
yourself a big headache later by working out a process at the beginning,
and set some design guidelines early on so you’re on the same page
about such key elements as navigation.
