For PPSC:
A. Candidates would be required to write an essay
in English of about 1500 words. A wide choice of
topics will be given in the question paper. The
topics may include those on issues related to
education, economy, foreign policy, governance,
human rights, constitution, law & order and other
socio-economic issues related to Pakistan and
topics of general nature.

For CSS:
The length of essay must
range between 2500- 3000
words. Understanding of the
topic, conceptual clarity and
logical reasoning etc. are
crucial in order to gain the
maximum score

Prior to start writing an essay:

Outlines are necessary.
50 percent of your scoring marks rely on the
outlines of the essay.
Outlines must divert the attention of the checker
to the main topic.

How to make outlines?
Along the each outline, a little bit
Introductions about the point or
notion that you want to convey, is
necessary.
 After writing the outlines, a brief
sort of mind map of the structure of
ideas about the topic is memorized
automatically in your mind.
