A CALL FOR

REVIVAL
The Revival Under King Hezekiah
2 Chronicles 30:25- 27
“Listen to me, Levites! Consecrate yourselves now and
consecrate the temple of the LORD, the God of your ancestors.
Remove all defilement from the sanctuary. 
INTRODUCTION
For us to experience a new passion, a new fire,
new strength, a new blessing, a new
outpouring of the Spirit’s power, a new level of
joy in our service and our relationship with
God, in our participation in the expansion of
His kingdom,
WE NEED SPIRITUAL REVIVAL.
EVERYONE OF US!
“Arise, shine, for your light has
come, and the glory of
the LORD rises upon you.
WHO DOES GOD 2 
See, darkness covers the earth
CALL FOR and thick darkness is over the
peoples, but the LORD rises upon
REVIVAL? you and his glory appears over
you. – Isaiah 60:1-2

On the last and greatest day of the

voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come
CALL FOR to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in
REVIVAL? me, as Scripture has said, rivers of
living water will flow from within
them.”
WHAT DOES GOD
1. AN OPEN HEART
REQUIRE FOR “Listen to me, Levites!

A broken and humble heart is ready to listen.

the God of Israel, so that
his fierce anger will turn

Then they went into King Hezekiah
REVIVAL? and reported: “We have purified the
entire temple of the LORD, the altar of
burnt offering with all its utensils, and
the table for setting out the consecrated
bread, with all its articles. 19 We have
prepared and consecrated all the
articles that King Ahaz removed in his
unfaithfulness while he was king. They
are now in front of the LORD’s altar.” –
2 Chron 29,30:15-20

When the offerings were finished,
REVIVAL? the king and everyone present with
him knelt down and
worshiped. 30 King Hezekiah and his
officials ordered the Levites to praise
the LORD with the words of David
and of Asaph the seer. So they sang
praises with gladness and bowed
down and worshiped. – 2 Chron 29;
30:22-26

Levites stood to bless the
people, and God heard them,
for their prayer reached
heaven, his holy dwelling

This is what Hezekiah did

REVIVAL? throughout Judah, doing what was


good and right and faithful before
the LORD his God. 21 In everything
that he undertook in the service of
God’s temple and in obedience to
the law and the commands, he
sought his God and worked
wholeheartedly. And so he
prospered. – 2 Chron 31:20-21

genealogical records and likewise to
the Levites twenty years old or more,
according to their responsibilities
and their divisions.-2 Chron 31:17-19

REVIVAL? They included all the little ones,

the wives, and the sons and


daughters of the whole community
listed in these genealogical records.
For they were faithful in
consecrating themselves.
