Net Zero Carbon Emissions- Balancing the amount of Carbon released by sequestering the equivalent amount of Carbon.

Technologies Used-:

Variable Refrigerant Flow Geo-exchange Heat Pump System-:

A pump system that will provide the space heating in winters.
--Can reduce CO2 emissions by 48% for gas based heating and 41% for electricity based conventional Heating.

--The carbon footprint reduction is from 5.14 kg/m^2/person to 1.82 kg/m^2/person for our team by using this technology.

-The installed cost of VRF systems is about $191/m^2 served. Energy Consumption of a VRF system as compared to Conventional heating system
was 48% at 100% load. For conventional heating systems it was 10kwh/m^2 as compared to only 4.8 kwh/m^2 for a VRF system to heat the same
area at same load.

A ROOFTOOP PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM-:

-For Average Grid CO2 emissions is 0.8kg/kwh but for PV Electricity System it is 0.052kg/kwh. Offsetting C02 by 93.5%

-For our team energy needs

-Cost= (Yearly use/Sunlight hours)*Average cost of installation of solar panel in the province=$11326 (Quebec-:1134 Sunlight Hours and $
3.75/watts)

-Average Life of PV system is 30 Years. So its $377/year/person saving us 22 percent in electricity costs.

An e-powertrain system With no Internal Combustion Engine-Nissan leaf: World’s First Registered Zero Carbon Vehicle
Consists of a 30 kwh NMC 811 battery. Average cost for full charge in Quebec is $2.67 and km on Single charge is 185.

-Carbon Footprint=For every 1kwh of energy consumed it Offsets CO2 footprint by 1.1 kg

-CO2 Emission =0.28 kg/mile for a conventional gasoline Engine. CO2 Emissions for Nissan Leaf= 0.124 kg/mile. Reduces Carbon footprint by 54%

-We save 3 cents per mile which is more than 47 percent less cost than the normal gasoline fuel.
