Based on the report submitted by the teacher advisers
of ZNHS, 575 (21.77%) out of 3011 learners have failing
grades. The main cause of such failure is absenteeism.
During the Parent-Teacher Conference (PTC) and
home visitations conducted by the class advisers and
guidance advocates they were able to gather evidences
and reasons why learners failed to come to school
regularly.

*89 learners are tasked to help in the field and harvest
the palay
* 80 looked for extra jobs to suffice the basic needs of
the family
*65 took good care of their younger brothers and
sisters and do the household chores .

• 50 learners are frequent customers of 4 internet cafés
and 2 billiard places.
• 55 are fond of cutting classes
• 14 have poor health conditions

Lack of teaching strategies and pedagogies among 12 newly
hired teachers for they failed to attend K to 12 mass trainings and
seminars.
24 out of 130 teachers were not able to purchase updated
instructional materials for their salaries are just enough for their
basic needs.

* 23 out of 130 teachers failed to prepare engaging activities
like the use of different graphic organizers to make learning
both fun and enjoyable.
* 25 out of 130 teachers failed to integrate ICT in teaching
for they are not computer literates. The use of power point
presentation motivates learners to learn.

• The number of books cannot accommodate the

number of students. There is only 1:5 book and
student ratio.
• Lack of computer units for teachers’ use in order to
prepare meaningful and colorful power point

teachers were not able to conduct series of formative
tests for mastery of learning.

Interventions
• Close monitoring and by Department Heads , ASP II and
School Head on the number of learners who failed in their
respective learning areas especially in Math and the
conduct of series of formative tests for mastery of
learning.
• Home visitations must be conducted to those learners
especially under grade 8 section Daffodil in order for the
teachers to see and understand the background and

• Conduct of remedial reading program and remedial
classes in all subject areas especially in Math should
be closely monitored and supervised.
• The implementation of tutor and tutee program
(SSG).
• The conduct of culmination programs in all subject
areas.

Interventions
• The barangay tanods with the supervision of the Punong
Barangay had on the spot inspection on the 5 internet cafés and 2
billiard places near the school during class hours.
• Teachers who are handling remedial classes especially in Math
can use engaging activities such as graphic organizers ,games,
activity sheets, colorful visual aids and PPT to make learning
meaningful and enjoyable.
• The Guidance office must conduct group/individual counseling

• The school head , assistant principals and dept. heads have
required teachers in all subject areas especially in Math to have
test banks especially with the least mastered skills
• Master Teachers in all subject areas especially in Math must
come up with workbooks and worksheets for students’ use
especially during the conduct of formative tests.
• Has conducted intensified SLAC every Thursday of the second
and fourth week of the month.
• The school must conduct seminar –workshop on ICT among
teachers during In-Service Training For Teachers.

• Intensify the school feeding program among severly wasted and
learners who belong to a poor family.
• The school has tapped and strengthened partnership with LGU
and NGO’s for them to donate learning materials , computers,
