ALUMINIUM
Aluminium (also spelled "aluminum" in the United States) is
a chemical element with the symbol "Al" and atomic
number 13. It is a lightweight, silvery-white metal and
belongs to the boron group of elements in the periodic table.
Aluminium is the third most abundant element in the
Earth's crust, making up about 8% of the crust by weight.
CHARACTERISTICS OF ALUMINIUM
• Aluminium can be recycled easily.
• Almost all aluminium are used in construction.
• High scrape value
• Non corrosive and non toxic so used for both indoor and outdoor applications.
• It resist corrosion by water, snow and moisture without any coating.
• Light weight and hight strength and flexible
• It does not strike spark nor get brittle under extreme cold or heat
ALUMINIUM- STRENGTHS
Lightweight Material: One of the primary advantages of aluminum is that it is a lightweight material. This
makes it ideal for use in a variety of applications, such as aircraft and automobiles, where weight is a major
concern.

Good Conductor of Electricity: Another advantage of aluminum is that it is a good conductor of electricity.
This makes it an ideal choice for electrical applications, such as wiring and electrical components.

Reflects Heat Well:  It reflects heat well. This makes it an ideal choice for use in applications where heat
needs to be reflected, such as in solar panels and reflective clothing.

Non-Toxic: This makes it an ideal choice for use in food and beverage containers, as well as in cookware.
Additionally, aluminum can be used in medical applications, such as in braces and prosthetic devices.

Recycles Easily: This means that aluminum cans and other products can be recycled and reused instead of
being sent to landfills or incinerated.
ALUMINIUM- WEAKNESS
• Aluminium is abundant, making up about 8% of the Earth’s
crust.
• It is very light, with a density of only 2.7g/cm3, about a third
of the thickness of iron.
• It is very strong for its weight, with a strength-to-weight
ratio higher than steel.
• It is non-toxic and does not react with food or beverages.
• It is non-magnetic and does not conduct electricity well,
making it ideal for electrical applications.
Application of Aluminium
• Automotive manufacturing
• Kitchen utensils
• Construction industry
• Transportation
• Electrical power
• wrapping
