Emerging Technologies

Emerging technology is a term generally used to describe

a new technology, but it may also refer to the continuing
development of an existing technology; it can have slightly
different meaning when used in different areas, such as
media, business, science, or education.Technology today
is evolving at such a rapid pace, enabling faster change
and progress, causing an acceleration of the rate of
change, until eventually, it will become exponential
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and
Machine Learning
Artificial Intelligence, or AI, has already
received a lot of buzz in the past
decade, but it continues to be one of the
new technology trends because its
notable effects on how we live, work and
play areonly in the early stages.AI has
been around is already widely used
since 1956 and AI is already known for
its superiority in image and speech
recognition, navigation apps,smartphone
personal assistants, ride-sharing apps
and so much more.
Machine Learning
Machine Learning the subset of AI, is also being deployed in all
kinds of industries, creating a huge demand for skilled
professionals.

With Machine Learning, computers are programmed to learn to do

something they are not programmed to do: They literally learn by
discovering patterns and insights from data. In general, we have
two types of learning, supervised and unsupervised. While
Machine Learning is a subset of AI, we also have subsets within
the domain of Machine Learning, including neural networks,
natural language processing (NLP), and deep learning. Each of
these subsets offers an opportunity for specializing in a career
field that will only grow.
BIG DATA ANALYTIC
Big data is a field that treats ways to analyze, systematically
extract information from, or otherwise deal with data sets that
are too large or complex to be dealt with by traditional data-
processing application software.

BIOMETRIC
Biometric technologies generally refer to the use of technology
to identify a person based on some aspect of their biology.
BLOCKCHAIN

Although most people think

of blockchain technology in
relation to cryptocurrencies
such as Bitcoin, blockchain
offers security that is useful
in many other ways.In the
simplest of terms, blockchain
can be described as data you
can only add to, not take
away from or change.
CYBERSECURITY
Cybersecurity is the
protection of internet-
connected systems such as
hardware, software and data
from cyberthreats. The
practice is used by individuals
and enterprises to protect
against unauthorized access
to data centers and other
computerized systems.
DevSecOp (Development, Security and Operations)
Its mantra is to make everyone accountable for
security with the objective of implementing security decisions
and actions at the same scale and speed as development and
operations decisions and actions.

DRONES
A drone, in technological terms, is an unmanned aircraft.
Essentially, a drone is a flying robot that can be remotely
controlled or fly autonomously through software-controlled
flight plans in their embedded systems, working in conjunction
with onboard sensors and GPS.
EDGE COMPUTING
Formerly a new technology trend to watch, cloud computing has become
mainstream, with major players AWS (Amazon Web Services), Microsoft
Azure and Google Cloud Platform dominating the market.

Everything-as-a service(Xaas)

XaaS is a general, collective term that refers to the delivery of anything as

a service. Some of the most common types of XaaS include:
• Software as a Service (SaaS) ,Platform as a Service (PaaS)
•  Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) ,Storage as a Service (StaaS)
• Database as a Service (DBaaS) , Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS)
•  Communications as a Service (CaaS) , Network as a Service (NaaS)
HUMAN AUGMENTATION
TECHNOLOGY
Human augmentation is a field of research that aims to enhance human
abilities through medicine or technology. This has historically been
achieved by consuming chemical substances that improve a selected
ability or by installing implants which require medical operations.

Internet of Behavior(IoB)

The Internet of Behavior is one of the top tech trends of 2021. COVID-19
pandemic is partly responsible for making IoB the latest trend, as it has
changed how consumers interact with brands because of which
companies are working on adjusting how they engage with consumers.
Intelligent Process Automation (IPA)
Intelligent Process Automation (IPA) is the collection of
technologies that come together to manage, automate and
integrate digital processes. The primary technologies that make up
IPA include Digital Process Automation (DPA), Robotic Process
Automation (RPA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

INTERNET OF THINGS (IoT)

Another promising new technology trend is IoT. Many “things” are
now being built with WiFi connectivity, meaning they can be
connected to the Internet—and to each other. Hence, the Internet of
Things, or IoT. The Internet of Things is the future, and has already
enabled devices, home appliances, cars and much more to be
connected to and exchange data over the Internet.
NATURAL LANGUAGE PROCESSING
TECHNOLOGY
Natural language processing (or: Natural Language Programming) is a
branch of artificial intelligence that helps computers understand,
interpret and manipulate human language, in short: NLP) is a technology
that enables computers and people to communicate with each other at
eye level.

QUANTUM COMPUTING TECHNOLOGY

Quantum computing is an area of computing focused on developing

computer technology based on the principles of quantum theory (which
explains the behavior of energy and material on the atomic and
subatomic levels).
Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
Like AI and Machine Learning,
Robotic Process Automation, or
RPA, is another technology that is
automating jobs.RPA is the use of
software to automate business
processes such as interpreting
applications, processing
transactions, dealing with data,
and even replying to emails. RPA
automates repetitive tasks that
people used to do.
SERVERLESS COMPUTING
Serverless computing is a cloud computing execution model in which
the cloud providerallocates machine resources on demand, taking care
of the servers on behalf of their customers.

Types of Serverless
Architecture Software

Function-as-a-Service
In the realm of pre-packaged services, Function-as-a-Service is also
sometimesknown as Framework-as-a-Service or FaaS, falls in between
Software-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service.
Backend-as-a-Service
Similar to FaaS, Backend-as-a-Service (or BaaS) is another serverless
technology. Some will contend that BaaS takes it a step further as a
NoOps offering. NoOps essentially refers to infrastructure that has
been automated to the point that in-house developers have no hand in
its operation.
The Future is Serverless
Serverless architecture is the way of the future for many types of
simple applications. It’s an ideal approach for some enterprise
businesses because it offers the following benefits:
- Efficient use of resources - Rapid deployment
- Cost-effective solutions - Focus on coding
- Familiar programming environment and languages supported
- Increased scalability
Tactile VR (Virtual Reality)
VR Tactile' is a haptic digital
architectural environment that combines
physical materiality with digital
information to create a multi-sensory,
interactive experience.
3D PRINTING

3D printing, or additive manufacturing,

is the construction of a three
dimensional object from a CAD model
or a digital 3D model.
5G TECHNOLOGY
The next technology trend that
follows the IoT is 5G. Where 3G and
4G technologies have enabled us to
browse the internet, use data driven
services, increased bandwidths for
streaming on Spotify or YouTube and
so much more, 5G services are
expected to revolutionize our lives.
