Establish Prayer

Indeed, I am Allah. There is no

‫نَّيِن َأاَن اهَّلل ُ اَل لَٰ َه اَّل َأاَن فَا ْع ُب ْديِن‬
deity except Me, so worship Me
‫وِإَأ ِقم الصاَل َة ذِل ِ ْكرِإي ِإ‬
and establish prayer for My
remembrance.

• This verse gives command to worship Allah.
• Immediately after, the most frequent aspect of worship in Islam
and henceforth practically the most important aspect of ibadah is
mentioned, and that is establishing prayer for his remembrance.
• Allah did not just say offer prayer or pray or perform prayer. But
rather establish salah.
• Salah goes beyond the mere performance of its prescribed
movements as to experience the feeling of perfect submission and
humility before Allah the Almighty.
We should allow ourselves to be among those who mere
perform salah, but rather we should be among those who
observe and establish salah accordingly.
There is a great deal of benefits for those who establish salah.
ِ َ‫الص اَل َة َط َريَف ِ الهَّن َا ِر َو ُزلَ ًف ا ِّم َن الل َّ ْي ِل ۚ نَّ الْ َح َس ن‬
َ ‫ات يُ ْذ ِهنْب‬ َّ ‫َوَأ ِق ِم‬
‫ِإ‬
‫ات ۚ َذٰ كِل َ ِذ ْك َر ٰى ِل َّذلا ِك ِر َين‬
ِ ‫ال َّسيَِّئ‬
And establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the
approach of the night. Indeed, good deeds do away with
misdeeds. That is a reminder for those who remember.

Those who are constant in their
prayer  ‫اذَّل ِ ْي َن مُه ْ عَىَل َصاَل هِت ِ ْم َداِئ ُم ْو َن‬
