Mechanical Systems Transfer Function

The document describes a two mass mechanical system and derives the transfer function relating the input force F(s) to the displacement of the first mass X1(s). Differential equations are written for the two masses and Laplace transformation is applied. The transfer function is found to be X1(s)/F(s) = [M2S2 + (fV1 + fV2 + fV3 + fV4)S + K] / Δ, where Δ is the denominator of the system.
