It fills me with pride and

satisfaction to be able to help
people.
I work as a dentist, I love when
children come to my office. The
vast majority arrive full of fear
and refuse to receive the service. I
speak to them sweetly, explaining
that nothing bad is going to
happen to them, that on the
contrary we will leave their teeth
healthy and strong.
One day a little girl came to my office in the company of her
mother. The procedure to be performed was oral hygiene. The girl
lay down on the stretcher and looked at everything around her,
asked her name and she answered that her name was Victoria and
that her mother had taken her so that the doctor would make her
teeth very healthy. But that she was a little afraid. I laughed and
asked her why she was afraid, she told me that in her favorite TV
show she had seen a girl being taken to the dentist because they
were going to remove a tooth, she did not want her teeth removed. I
explained that her teeth were very nice and that she was not going
to take them off, that on the contrary if she allowed me we were
going to leave her teeth very healthy and strong so that nothing bad
would happen to them. She trusted me, I was able to work very
well. Today is my favorite patient, always comes to the office and
tells me their school stories and tells me that when she grows up
she also wants to be a dentist to help all the children.
These kinds of experiences really enrich and
strengthen us every day. They inspire us to continue
working and to continue enriching our knowledge
every day.
I remember a teacher a lot when he told us that the
most important thing in our lives was to make a
positive impression on people and what better way
than to inspire them to follow our examples. I hope
someday to see little Victoria become a great dentist.
