Covid 19 is a pandemic disease that caused by SARS CoV-2 Virus

The virus can cause mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover
without requiring special treatment, but in some cases it will
become seriously ill and require medical attention

Impact globally

global stock market, millions of life loss, national lockdown etc.

In asia there are 1.2 million life loss due to the covid pandemic
Globalization era
- According to Friedman, “globalization has so far gone through
three distinct phases. With each phase of Globalization, the world
became just a tiny bit flatter. But today, with the explosion of new
technologies, the flattening process is in overdrive”.

- Friedman described several “flatteners” that made this current

globalization platform possible. The first of these was the invention
of the personal computer. The second is when the Netscape
browser went public ushering. A further “flattener” was a
revolution in connectivity. When computers became a popular
technology
How COVID-19 spread be managed
in globalization era?
Arguments

Despite COVID-19 outbreak forced every country to close its

border or isolation to prevent the spread of virus, globalization
still allows them to connect through cooperation such as
Global Vaccine Alliance (GAVI), Air Travel Bubble (ATB). And
also using current communication technologies, for example:
smartphone, social media.
Cooperative Actions

1. Global Vaccine Alliances (GAVI)

- Global partnership of vaccine distribution lead by WHO, UNICEF,
World Bank, and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
- Developing COVAX.
1. Bilateral Cooperations
- Indonesia - GAVI (COVAX- AstraZeneca)
- Sino - Indonesian Vaccine Cooperation (Sinovac)

“Collaboration between a Chinese firm, Sinovac Biotech Ltd., and an

Indonesian state-owned company, PT Bio Farma, has made substantial
progress and created meaningful outputs.” (Yeremia & Raditio, 2021)

1. Air Travel Bubble (ATB)

- Singapore - Hong Kong ATB Scheme >> Using Cathay Pacific Air
and Singapore Airlines
- New Zealand - Australia
Technologies

The effects of COVID-19 are having a significant impact on the

technology sector, affecting raw materials supply, disrupting the
electronics value chain, and causing an inflationary risk on
products. More positively, the disruption has caused an acceleration
of remote working, and a rapid focus on evaluating and de-risking
the end-to-end value chain. In addition, potential carbon emission
reductions could result in renewed focus on sustainability practices.
Technologies

The COVID-19 pandemic altered our world in many ways including the
acceleration of digital transformation. Here are five technology
megatrends of our times during Pandemic .

1. Artificial Intelligence (AI)

2. Robotics, Drones and Vehicle Automation
3. The As-a-Service and Cloud Revolution
4. Faster Networks and 5G
5. Extended Reality (Augmented, Virtual and Mixed Reality)
Conclusion
All in all, Covid-19 has had a tremendous impact, the effect
does not only affect one area but the whole world. Beside that,
various sectors are also affected. Covid-19 is able to move the
entire world community to work together in tackling and
preventing the spread of Covid-19. Several cooperative actions
such as GAVI, ATB and other multilateral corporations are clear
evidence of the globalization movement as a result of Covid-19.

Covid-19 has become a global phenomenon with a big impact.
