Hard Skills: teachable skills that can be defined and measured. Examples of hard
skills developed in high school include math, science, reading, writing, use of
technology. These skills also include jobs skills like typing, welding and nursing.

Soft Skills: personality-driven skills like etiquette, getting along with others,
listening and engaging in small talk.

Hard skills and soft skills are equally important in preparing for college and
career.
