BUBBLE

CHART
INTRODUTION

 A bubble chart is a type of chart in Excel that displays data points as bubbles on a two-
dimensional graph. The size of each bubble represents a third variable, allowing for the
visualization of relationships and comparisons between different sets of data.
STEPS TO CREATE A BUBBLE CHART
INEXCEL
 Open Microsoft Excel and enter your data into a worksheet.
 Select the data range that you want to include in the bubble chart.
 Go to the "Insert" tab in the Excel ribbon.
 Click on the "Insert Scatter (X, Y) or Bubble Chart" button.
 Choose the "Bubble" chart option from the menu.
 Excel will automatically create a basic bubble chart using your selected data.
 To customize the chart, right-click on the chart and select "Format Chart Area."
 From the formatting options, you can adjust the bubble size, color, axis labels, and other chart elements.
 Add a chart title and axis labels to provide clarity to your audience.
 Continue refining the chart as needed, such as adding data labels or adjusting the chart layout.
TYPES OF DATA SUITABLE FOR BUBBLE
CHART

 Bubble charts can be used to display  If you have survey data with multiple
scientific data, such as experiments attributes or dimensions, a bubble chart
involving three variables. For example, can visually represent the relationships
you can represent temperature, pressure, between variables. For example, you can
and volume on the x-axis, y-axis, and plot customer satisfaction scores,
bubble size, respectively. This product quality ratings, and price
visualization allows for a comprehensive sensitivity on a bubble chart
understanding of the data relationships.
COMPONANT OF BUBBLE CHART

 X-Axis: The horizontal axis represents one variable of the data. It could be a numerical
value, a category, or a time period.
 Y-Axis: The vertical axis represents another variable of the data. Similar to the x-axis, it can
represent a numerical value, a category, or a time period.
 Bubble Size: The size of each bubble in the chart represents a third variable of the data. The
larger the bubble, the higher the value of the variable it represents.
 Bubbles: Each bubble on the chart represents a data point. The position of the bubble on the
x-axis and y-axis corresponds to the values of the respective variables for that data point.
 Data Labels: You can add data labels to the bubbles to display the specific values or labels
associated with each data point. This helps in providing additional information and clarity to
the chart.
BEST PRACTICES FOR LINE CHART

 Clear and Meaningful Bubble Size

 Limit the Number of Bubbles
 Use Color and Labels Effectively
 Provide Clear and Informative Axis Labels
