with the superheroes and
their films.
Heroes:

brave, friendly,  kind, careful, special ...

Films:

cool, interesting...
Read the dialogue between Alex and Emily and complete it with verbs in the simple past.

Note the words in green  and the key phrases in red.

Read it in pairs.
Alex: Hey, __did___ you _____ (watch) the new Superman movie?

Emily: Yeah, I _____. What do you think of it?

Alex: I thought it was really cool. Superman was so brave when facing the villains.

Emily: You've got a point. What about the Spider-Man movie?

Alex: I _____ _____ (not / see) it. What do you think?

Emily: I _____ (love) it! Spider-Man was very friendly and kind to people.

Alex: Hmm, I don't think I'll like it.

Emily: You never know until you watch it. Spider-Man is also careful when using his powers. It was very
interesting.

Alex: Yeah, you're right. Maybe I'll give it a shot.

Emily: Great! Enjoy the movies!

Alex: Thanks, Emily!
