Take effect January 1, 1977 The PD 1006 made a teachers` license a requirement for teaching. After this PD 1006 another law on teachers` professionalization was declared. It is the Republic Act 7836, known as “Philippine Teachers Professionalization Act of 1994”. Just like PD 1006 this law recognized the vital role of teachers in nation-building. It manadtes the conduct of the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).
The law stems for the belief that professionalization will
improve the quality of teachers, quality of teaching and, therefore, quality of students. o 1994 another law on teacher`s professionalization namely RA No. 7836 R.A o Known as the “Philippine Teachers Professionalization Act of 1994” was enacted.
