What is Chickenpox ?
 Chickenpox is an infectious disease caused by the varicella-zoster virus
(VZV). This disease can cause blisters, small itches and eventually
abrasions. Usually this disease appears in the following areas: face, back,
chest and spreads all over the body
 Chickenpox is one of the diseases that are easily transmitted
 Chickenpox can infect everyone throughout the world and can be fatal if
DISEASE : not properly taken care of
CHICKENPOX >>>  Chickenpox is a disease that only affects humans unlike other diseases, it
is not caused by an interaction between humans and animals
 Chickenpox is mostly seen in children under ten years old hence mostly
classifies as a childhood disease
 Chickenpox is usually not a severe illness among children, but it becomes
severe when an adult contract it
 After a person has had chickenpox, the virus remains dominant in the
body and is likely to re-emerge as shingles during adulthood
 spread through the air when a person with chicken pox coughs or
sneezes. In addition, by touching or breathing in "virus particles"
found in the liquid that comes out of the blister (blister).
 Fever, feeling unwell and tired five days before the rash appears. In
SPREAD, addition, the rash starts as small, itchy red spots (like pimples) all
over the body including the mouth. Usually the rash starts on the

 Rest
 Fluids
 There is also a medication to reduce the severity of symptoms for
high-risk children, administered within 24 hours of the start of the
rash
