What is
keyboarding?
 Types of keyboard

Membrane keyboards
are a type of keyboard that registers
keystrokes via a rubber or silicone
membrane beneath the keys. Because of
their inexpensive cost and simple design,
they are one of the most used varieties of
keyboards.

Pros
Affordable and widely available
Quiet operation
Lightweight and portable

Cons
Less durable and prone to wear and tear
Tactile feedback and key travel may be lacking
Difficult to clean or repair
Mechanical keyboards

are a type of keyboard that registers

keystrokes by using individual mechanical
switches beneath each key. These switches
are often more robust and reliable than the
rubber or silicone domes used in membrane
keyboards, and they give the user
additional tactile and audible feedback.
